NO PURCHASE NECESSARY

1. HOW TO ENTER: On an Official Entry Form, or, on a piece of 3" x 5" paper, print your
name, complete address (no P.O. Boxes), name and location or address of the store where
you learned about this sweepstakes, daytime phone number and date of birth. Mail to:
Ames True Temper True American Trip Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 5299, Chestertown, MD
21690. No mechanically reproduced entries accepted. One entry per stamped envelope.
Entries must be received by June 30, 2011, when sweepstakes ends.

2. ELIGIBILITY: Open to residents of the 50 United States and D.C., 18 years of age and
older as of time of entry, except for employees of Ames True Temper Company
(“Sponsor”), USA Fulfillment (“Judges”), participating retailers, their affiliates,
subsidiaries and agencies (collectively “Promotion Parties”), and members of their
immediate family or persons living in the same household. Void where prohibited.

3. DRAWING: A random drawing will be conducted on or about July 5, 2011 by Judges,
an independent judging organization. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries
received. Potential winners will be notified by mail or private courier and must sign (or a
parent or legal guardian must sign if a minor) any required Affidavit and Release within
14 days of attempted delivery or prize will be forfeited and an alternate may be selected.
All income taxes resulting from acceptance of prize are the responsibility of winner. By
entering sweepstakes, entrant accepts and agrees to these Official Rules and the decisions
of Judges, which shall be final in all matters. By accepting prize, winner agrees to hold
Promotion Parties, their affiliates, directors, officers, employees and assigns harmless
against any and all claims and liability arising out of use or redemption of prize.
Acceptance also constitutes permission to the Promotion Parties to use winner’s name,
likeness and biographical information for marketing purposes without further
compensation or right of approval, unless prohibited by law. Sponsor and its affiliated
companies will not be responsible for lost, late, or misdirected entries or prize notices or
for any typographical, or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the
sweepstakes, or announcement of the prizes. In the event of any such error, Sponsor
reserves the right to request that the Judges modify this sweepstakes in a manner deemed
fair and appropriate in the sole discretion of Judges using entries received as of such date.
All federal and state laws apply.

4. PRIZES: One (1) Grand Prize: A trip for two to New York City. Prize includes roundtrip
coach airfare for two, hotel accommodations for 3-days/2-nights (double occupancy),
transfers to/from airport, meal allowance of $400, tour of Empire State Building and
Statue of Liberty, and two tickets to a Broadway show, as selected by Sponsor.
Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $4,400. Winner’s guest must be 18 years of age or
older, unless the winner is the parent/legal guardian of the guest. Actual value of trip

prizes will depend on airfare fluctuations and point of departure. Any difference between
stated value and actual value will not be awarded. Trip must be completed by February
1, 2012. Winner and guest must travel on same itinerary. All travel accommodations and
arrangements at Sponsor’s discretion. All travelers must execute a Release of Liability
prior to ticketing. Travel is subject to availability. Certain blackout dates and restrictions
apply. Three (3) First Prizes: A tool "makeover" package containing shovel, rake, hoe,
wheelbarrow, hose and hose reel, pruners, loppers, shears, Hound Dog™ Weed Hound.
ARV: $650.00. Ten (10) Second Prizes: A tool bundle consisting of True American™
line shovel, rake and hoe. ARV: $45.00. Total Prize value: $6,800. Limit one prize per
family/household. No substitution or transfer of prize permitted by winner. Sponsor
reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. All prizes will be
awarded if claimed.

5. WINNERS' LIST: For the name of prize winners, available after July 20, 2011, send a
self-addressed, stamped #10 envelope to: Ames True Temper, True American Trip
